Exceptional fishing off Albatross Point has yielded up to 170 snapper in under two hours, with a variety of baits effective and settled weather promising great conditions for upcoming west coast fishing trips.

Fishing has been phenomenal over the past week, with some remarkable statistics: 170 snapper in 1 hour and 45 minutes, and 140 snapper in just an hour. The sizes have varied from 35 cm to over 75 cm, with many impressive fish being caught, often two at a time. In terms of bait, we're not too fussy – Bonito, barracouta, and fresh kahawai are all effective. The tougher baits have been particularly useful, often surviving multiple drops without needing replacement. Aside from snapper, we're also catching some very large horse mackerel and kahawai, but that's about it; nothing else seems to stand a chance. We've been fishing at depths of 50-60 meters off Albatross Point. Looking ahead, we have some very settled weather forecasted from Saturday for the next 10-14 days. So, if you're keen to join us, give us a call and we can connect you with some amazing west coast fishing. Daily twilight trips are also available.

Cheers, Rob
