Recent fishing trips have been highly successful, with quick limits of average-sized snapper and plenty of gurnard...

Hi  team,

Fishing has been exceptional lately, with some amazing trips yielding great average-sized snapper. Most days, we're reaching our limits within a few hours. On the slower days, there's been an abundance of gurnard. Our fishing has primarily been around 45-55 meters off Albatross Point and further south down to Harihari.

Over the last week, the water has been very clear, although the temperature has dropped to about 16.5 degrees, having been around 18 degrees a few weeks ago. With a northerly weather pattern expected over the next week, we anticipate the sea temperature will rise again.

Some of the snapper have spawned, but not all. As we move into late December and January, we expect the fish to start moving closer in, but more on this in the next report before Christmas.

We're looking forward to some stunning weather all the way up to Christmas.

Cheers,Rob
