How to tie a Uni knot

The Uni Knot is a good knot for attaching your line to the hook or swivel. It can also be used to tie two lines together.

The two most common knots used to connect your line to the hook or a swivel are the Clinch knot and the Uni knot. Both work well, although you may find some brands or strengths of line respond lightly better to one or the other.

The Uni Knot

1. Thread line through hook and make a loop.

2. Make 5 or 6 turns around both strands.

3. Start to tighten. Wetting the knot by putting it in your mouth makes this easier.

4. Pull tight.
